I am looking to purchase 2 single divans with drawers and have come across:
Hampton, Hamilton, Madison, Rebecca
Can you tell me what is the difference with the above 4 beds and also what is the difference in the mattresses that come with each bed
I know it says miracoil but what type of microcoil e.g. micro quilt, deep quilt, cushion top, luxury cushion top, pillow top or memory. Also can you indicate with each bed whether the mattress is Firm or Medium.
I have seen them in Argos/Homebase and Littlewoods
Reply from our Silentnight Expert:
Hampton is a deep quilt mattress in lilac - 26cm deep
Hamilton is a supreme mattress with natural latex fillings - 28.5cm deep
Madison is a micro quilt mattress - 22cm deep
There are 3 different products in the Rebecca Range: -
- deep quilt
- micro quilte
- cushion top
The Hampton is similar to the Rebecca deep quilt
The Madison is similar to the Rebecca micro quilt
There is no comparison between the Hamilton and the Rebecca Cushion Top.
Most beds are available in Firm, Regular and Luxury ratings but these labels can vary from brand to brand. Comfort is very subjective. There are no universal standards of firmness in common usage in the UK. Because of this we don't give our beds a firmness rating like some manufacturers. Your main aim is to achieve good "posture" in bed. Too soft and your body will slouch - often leading to back pain - and too firm and you will cause discomfort at pressure points such as your hips and shoulder. Ideally the mattress should mould to the shape of your body while remaining supportive. When you lie on your side your spine should be horizontal and you should be able to turn easily.
