Olympic hero Hoy wants bed
27/08/2008
One of Britain''s gold medallists has told a national newspaper of his desire to return to his own bed on his return to the UK.
Cyclist Chris Hoy, the only member of Team GB to bring back three gold medals from the Olympics that finished in Beijing on Sunday, stated his wishes to the Independent as well as pledging his allegiance to further competition at the London Games in four years time.
Dismissing reports of being in line for a knighthood as "ridiculous", Hoy told the news provider that the future was going to be "fun" and "exciting" but that in the meantime, he just wanted a rest.
He continued: "It''s been crazy for the last few days. I''m just looking forward to sleeping in my own bed.
"I''m certainly going to continue on to London in 2012. I want to focus on my sport."
Chris Hoy is a nine-time world champion and four-time Olympic champion, being awarded with the MBE in 2005.
