''Less sleep and more food'' linked to bedroom TVs

Children and teenagers with a television in their bedroom are more likely to sleep less and eat more, a recent study has uncovered.
The Jerusalem Post noted that according to researchers at the University of Haifa, Israel, those with TVs that they could watch from bed would get an average of half an hour less sleep.
Studying 444 children as part of the study, it was found that social habits also changed as technology in the bedroom would mean that pupils would watch an hour more of TV a week.
The news provider added that 20 per cent of children would eat food in front of the box, with 70 per cent doing it occasionally and 10 per cent never doing it, compared to 50 per cent of kids never eating in front of the PC.
Last month, the Israel-based Hollandia International signed a major contract with Westminster Hotel to provide high-quality "sleep systems".
