A recent poll has discovered that people may be facing major health problems in later life due to a lack of time in bed, exercise and a denial about being overweight, it has been reported.
Reuters Life reported the findings of a survey commissioned by Amway Global, which discovered that 38 per cent of Americans questioned found that getting enough exercise was the most challenging part of staying fit, with more than one in five not getting the recommended amount.
Director of marketing services at Amway International Beth Dornan said that the minds of Americans were willing but many were struggling to put them into action.
She added: "One piece of the survey we thought was interesting was people have access to a lot of information, and they know what the right things are to do, but they''re struggling with taking that into action."
In 1985, the non-profit American Council on Exercise was founded to enhance the quality of life of citizens through effective exercise regimes.
