Lack of sleep for Blaine concerns doctors

Celebrity illusionist David Blaine has baffled doctors as to how he will come out of his latest endurance stunt unscathed, with doctors concerned with his lack of sleep.
Believing that it will be the catalyst to a number of other problems, the magician''s health consultant stated that it could lead to bigger complications, such as loss of sight due to higher blood pressure, which could also lead to a much larger risk of stroke or seizure.
The physician, Dr Ronald Ruden, added that he did not understand how Blaine was able to pull the stunt off, but offered a suggestion.
He said: "He seems to have the ability to use his mind to control his body to not experience pain and discomfort, as well as take away his basic drives to eat and sleep and defy his fear."
In 2003, David Blaine sealed himself inside a perspex box high above London in a 44-day starvation stunt.
