Bedroom tips offered by designer

Bedroom tips offered by designer An interior designer has highlighted the way couples may often be at odds with one another when face when choosing the decoration for their bedroom.

In an effort to combat this, Paula Robinson offered an idea or two for home decor to those who hope to get the most of their bedroom.

The key to agreeing on a style in the bedroom, she noted, was outright compromise and emphasised the need to use gender non-specific colours.

Ms Robinson said that beds should be furnished with seasonal bed linen as it would allow the room to evolve throughout the year, keeping the space fresh, adding that pairing this with the use of a neutral colour on the walls would mean compromise was easy to achieve.

She added: "A successful bedroom hinges on good sleep and relaxation.

"It should be your retreat - a private space that is a reflection of you as individuals and as a couple."

Ms Robinson''s ethos in her line of work is that design is a journey and not a destination.
