Women ''sleep better than men''

A practitioner at the Sleep Medicine Center in Kansas has stated that women sleep better than men, although it was not necessarily a worrying thing for males.
Thomas Bloxham, a sleep specialist based in Wichita, said that smaller periods of sleep generally did not result in major health problems unless fatigue was affecting a person''s day-to-day health.
In an effort to combat the possibility that this may happen, the expert told the Wichita Eagle that a regular sleeping schedule and consistent exercise during the day was a healthy way to be physically tired in time for bed.
Furthermore, strategic small naps were a good option between 12pm and 3pm, as long as it was limited to half an hour due to it leaving a person "groggy and drooling and confused" otherwise.
In addition, avoiding nicotine, chocolate, snacks and TV on a late evening were also encouraged.
America''s National Sleep Foundation said that establishing a regular routine with activities such as soaking in a bath, reading a book or listening to calm music before bedtime could also help ease a person to sleep.
