Dutch homeless helped through bedding

The Le Clochard project is hoping to solve the problem of young homeless people on the streets of the Netherlands with a new charity campaign, with a bedding company at the helm.
Bed linen specialist Snurk has entered a joint venture with SZN, the homeless charity, to manufacture bedding printed to look like cardboard to raise money to get many people back on their feet.
Snurk - meaning "snore" in Dutch - noted that 5,000 young people around the country are homeless.
"The income is used to fund housing projects which prioritise support for young people in finding work or continuing their education," the Le Clochard project noted.
"So by sleeping under a cardboard box, you can help a homeless young person out from under one."
It emerged this week that Scotland''s housing problems had resulted in a rise in homelessness, meaning many families were without suitable accommodation, Shelter announced.
