Mattress saves couple''s life

A couple have had to thank their mattress for more than a good night''s sleep after a recent bizarre incident involving a speeding car, it has been reported.
Yesterday, a man was arrested after smashing his car through the wall of Ben and Sarah Larmouth''s house in Haltom City, Texas, with the couple walking away with minor bumps and scratches after their mattress folded over them, protecting them from more serious injuries.
The pair were discharged from Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth soon after, suffering only cuts and bruises even though the car had stopped on top of them.
Sgt Terry Stayer said of the incident: "The mattress protected the couple.
"The woman managed to walk out of the room, while her husband managed to get some debris off of him."
In a bid to fight against "chronic mattress dumping", Hume city council in Australia recently organised a free recycling day for the bedding in a bid to tackle the problem in an environmentally friendly way.
