Women ''more sleepless than men''

A recent survey carried out by a private health organisation has found that women are much more stressed than men in the current financial climate, suffering increasing amounts of sleeplessness.
Bupa UK Health Insurance revealed that many females were struggling to get adequate bed rest during each night over worries that they were unable to pay bills or cope with health problems.
It found that nearly half of women were struggling to deal with stress at both work and home, compared to four out of ten men.
Deputy medical director for Bupa UK Health Insurance Dr Paula Franklin said that it was more of a battle of the stresses than a battle of the sexes.
She continued: "Women are certainly bearing the brunt of Britain''s stress both at home and in the workplace, and the situation is being worsened by the impact of the credit crunch."
Bupa was founded in 1947 as the British United Provident Association.
