Bedrooms have ''great design potential''
18/11/2008
Bedrooms should not solely be considered as a place to sleep, with the room presenting great potential, it has been stated.
Home and living expert Sadez Friedmann said the room also gave people the opportunity to read, study, speak on the phone, watch TV and even eat - it just depended on what the individual desired from their bedroom.
For example, a person wanting an escape from the stresses of the day can extend the comfort of the bed by adding more relaxing furniture to turn the room into a mini cinema, separating the experience from just simply watching TV from the bed.
Ms Friedmann continued: "Consider purchasing a comfortable chair and ottoman for movie viewing in the bedroom. It could turn out to be a nice little getaway for a couple of hours after work."
Decorating specialist HGTV.com recommended that people keep it simple to give a bedroom some visual impact, with beds placed alongside a window to give the user a great view but the ability to also turn away from it.
